Jobedu joins hands with Walt Disney Company
2018.05.18

Jobedu, the apparel company famed for being the Arabised voice and presence of international pop culture in the Middle East, has joined hands with the Walt Disney Company for the Middle East to create original collections - both apparel and accessories - based around Disney’s iconic characters. The two have signed a licensing agreement in this connection.

Under the licensing agreement - which encompasses Disney, Disney?Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars - Jobedu will produce a range of fun, modern streetwear collections, adding its unique voice to the company’s world-renowned properties. Jobedu will use its network of affiliated graphic designers, which now numbers more than 50, to develop ideas and contribute original work to be used in the collection.

The first collection features all the Avengers and other Marvel favourites. The collections will be available for purchase on www.jobedu.com, complete with global delivery, in addition to Virgin Megastore in the GCC and the company’s flagship store in Jordan. Collections to follow will include the likes of Yoda, Darth Vader and the enduringly popular Mickey Mouse.

“We’re super excited to have Jobedu play a central role in providing consumers in the region with merchandise based on their favourite characters and franchises - and for the first time ever in Arabic,” said Tamer AlMasri, co-founder and CEO of Jobedu.

Jobedu has entered into strategic collaborations with international companies which have enabled the company to aggressively expand its operations in the region. A number of investments have also been recently secured to support the growth. Investors include Oasis500, Abdul Majeed Shoman and Z-Mission Ventures. (FROM FIBER2FASHION)
